The ICC Awards recognise and honour the most significant players and their performances in the past 12 months in the men’s and women’s international cricket. The International Cricket Council (ICC) constituted the awards in 2004. The selection of winners is done by a voting process which took place between a specially selected panel, including the prominent former players, an elite group of the ICC umpires and match referees and the respected members of the media.
