To win the race by reaching at the finish line in the minimum time possible.
Lugers compete either as individuals (male or female) or as doubles (a pair of 2 men or a pair of a man and a woman) or as teams comprising of three sleds: one for a man, one for a woman and the third one for a doubles team.
Luge races take place on ice tracks which can be a natural track or an artificial one.
