The Wrestling Federation of India is registered under the Societies Registration Act No. 1 of 1960.w. The prime objects to establish the federation are to encourage, promote and manage the activities of amateur wrestling and other related variants of the sports in India. It is affiliated with the Indian Olympic Association and International Federation of Associated Wrestling Styles (FILA). The federation and its staff members are responsible for conducting systematic coaching camps to encourage Indian wrestlers to go for the sport.
