During 1978 to 2014, cerebral palsy football was being governed by the Cerebral Palsy International Sports and Recreation Association (CPISRA), until the IFCPF (International Federation of Cerebral Palsy Football) took over and became the world governing body for Para-football. It is made up of numerous member organizations which belong to five different continental zones. It is also associated with the World Anti-Doping Agency as to provide clean and clear competition to the players.
