Lokesh Bisht's love for martial arts traverses over a long period of time as he fell in love with them at a very young age. When he eventually decided to pursue the arts he had to struggle with a lot of problems which included making his family believe in him and his passion for he had chosen an unconventional path for himself. Lokesh, however was determined to make a career out of his passion and for this he sought the guidance of Tuhon Shifu Kanishka who is the only Indian to train at the legendary school of Shaolin Temple in China and is the founder of SKC (Shifu Kanishka Combatives) which is a blend of six major martial arts.
With his courage and determination Lokesh trained extensively under Shifu Kanishka and his hardwork paid off when he achieved the rank of Lakan Guro (1st Hagdan). It was a major stepping stone towards his goal as it gave him a chance of spreading this art to one and all. With this in mind he started the Dehradun branch of SKC to impart the knowledge and skills that he had learnt from his master to other people who shared the same passion. Another aim of his is to empower the women by teaching them street survival skills which he feels is crucial for them in the current social scenario. His motto is to create Warriors and not Fighters as he feels that Warriors use their skills towards attaining inner peace whereas Fighters use skills merely for the love of war. He wants the youth and the children to learn this difference and prepare them for the harsh realities of the outside world. Come and Learn.
