Indian veteran golfer Anirban Lahiri becomes the only Indian male golfer to qualify for the 2020 Olympics. Lahiri has qualified for the second consecutive Olympic Games after finishing as India's best golfer in the final list of men's rankings for the Tokyo Olympics announced on Tuesday.
Anirban Lahiri finished 60th in the rankings, the last available quota in the Tokyo Olympics rankings.
The ace golfer wrote on social media and said he was surprised by the qualifications.
Lahiri tweeted:
Best surprise I have got in a while. @Tokyo2020 can’t believe I will have the opportunity once again to represent the tricolor

Anirban is ranked 340th in the latest official World Golf Rankings, topping the list as India was eligible for one spot.
Aditi Ashok is also in contention to compete in Olympics for the second time in a row, but her qualifications will be confirmed after the final women's Olympic rankings are announced on June 29.
Golf returned to Olympic Games at the Rio de Janeiro Games in 2016 for the first time since the 1904 edition.
