The match consists of two halves of 45-minutes and a 10-minute half-time break. The ball must be in play when each half ends.
The match is started by a toss whose winner decides the choice of ends after which the throw up takes place in which the ball is thrown up by the referee to a minimum height of 12 feet between two opposing players standing at the center spot at least 3 feet apart with their camans crossed above the head level.
