There is only one referee for each paintball game. He/she has the power to start the game or stop the game for paint checks. The referee also decides over any issue that may arise during the game.
A player is directly out of the game if he/she is hit by a marking pellet (Paintball) on his/ her clothes, gun or equipment. The player is "Out or Hit" when he/she gets marked or targeted by an opposing player or a teammate (known as Friendly Fire).
If a player is struck by a marking pallet (paintball) and it does not break, or he/she is struck by splatter from a marking pellet, it's not considered out.
Blind firing is not allowed. If the players can't see what they are aiming at, they can't hit the bullet.
If players of both the team mark each other at the same time, then both are eliminated.
Only a single player is allowed to guard the flag at the station during a flag game. In any case, if the guardian gets eliminated from the competition, he/she leaves the flag at the point where he/she is shot.
Each team has a Captain. The team Captains have the power to wave at the referee, to start or begin the game. After that only the referee can blow a whistle and the game officially begins.
The players are prohibited from entering or attempting to enter in a playing field for a game without having signed a waiver.
During the game, participants are also not allowed to wear shorts or T-shirts. All the players are required to wear long-sleeved shirts and full-length pants only.
During the game, players wear masks / goggles at all the times on the playing field or near other people who are playing.
It is completely prohibited to attain any kind of physical interaction.
The participants under no circumstances can shot or hit the referee.
