A match is the best of three or five games. A game is played to 25 points with a minimum lead of two points. In the case of 24-24 tie, the game is continued until a two-point lead is achieved.
Scoring
A team scores a point in following situations-
By landing the ball on the opponent’s court
When the opponent team commits any fault
When the opponent team is penalized.
Faults
A fault is an infringement of the rules made by a player or a team. If two or more faults are performed by the same team in succession, only the first one is counted. If two or more faults are committed by opponents simultaneously, the referee calls a double fault and the rally is replayed.
Match Result
The team that wins three sets wins the match. In case of a 2-2 game tie, a deciding 5th set is played to 15 points with a minimum of 2-point lead.
