In the sprint relay events, each team should consist of 4 team members, in which at least two participants should be women.
The participants are solely responsible for taking care of their maps against moisture or any damage.
Majorly the controls provided vary according to the participants. The women and men competitors are provided with separate controls for their orienteering matches.
The participants have to hand over their control card to the referee and then go ahead to download the data once they complete their orienteering.
The players are only allowed to use navigational aids such as the tracking device, or a GPS data logger or any magnetic compass.
If any team or competitor exceeds the maximum time limit to complete the orienteering course, then the team or the orienteer is disqualified from the race.
If any competitor breaks any of the orienteering rules or false start during the match, they are directly disqualified from the event.
