Free State Stadium currently known as the Toyota Stadium for sponsorship reasons, is one of the six much-publicized sports venues of South Africa that predominantly hosts Rugby Union events. The venue also hosts football matches. Initially, the stadium was known as "Vodacom Park". The stadium was officially opened in 1995 and is managed by Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality. The Stadium is also known for having “Central Cheetahs” as their tenants that represent it in international Super Rugby competition.
In 2025, the stadium was downgraded to Class C status, making it ineligible to host international rugby matches. Following an upgrade completed in February 2026, the stadium was restored to Class B status, once again making it eligible to host International rugby fixtures.
