Strawberry Arena Former Friends Arena is the famous multi-purpose arena of Solna, Stockholm which is located near the Råstasjön Lake. It is considered as the biggest football stadium in all the Nordic countries. Opened on 27th October 2009, Strawberry Arena is owned by Swedish Football Association, Jernhusen, Peab, Fabege, Folksam and Solna Municipality. The inauguration of the stadium was performed by the then Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden. The opening ceremony of the stadium has the theme of "Swedish moments" directed by Colin Nutley. Arkitekterna Krook & Tjäder, Berg Arkitekkontor, and Populous were the famous architects involved in designing the structure of the stadium. The venue has served as Sweden's national stadium for men's football, hence its also known as Nationalarenan.
Its Former names are Swedbank Arena (2009–2012) and Friends Arena (2012–2024)
On January 13, 2024, the venue entered into a naming-rights agreement with Norwegian hotel company Strawberry. As part of the agreement, the stadium was renamed Strawberry Arena, with the new name coming into effect on July 12, 2024.
