Nissan Stadium is a sports venue, located in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. It is commonly known as the 'International Stadium Yokohama'. Opened on 1st March 1998, the stadium is owned by Yokohama City and operated by Yokohama Sports Association and Yokohama F. Marinos. An estimated amount of ¥60.3 billion was spent on the construction of the stadium. The International Stadium Yokohama has been the home of the Japanese football team Yokohama F. Marinos. This grass field stadium can hold around 72,327 spectators, which was considered as the highest seating capacity amongst all the stadia of Japan for 21 years, until the opening of the New National Stadium in Tokyo in November 2019.
