 
                The National Stadium of Pakistan is primarily a cricket stadium, located in Karachi, Pakistan. It serves as the home ground for the national and domestic cricket teams. The stadium has a seating capacity of 34,228 spectators. In the recent past, the PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) had announced the possibility of plans to increase the capacity up to 90,000. The Pakistan cricket team has an excellent Test record on this ground. In a span of 50 years, the Pakistan Cricket team has played 40 Test matches, winning 21 of them. The first game was played in the year 1955 and in 1980; it hosted the first international competition. The national stadium has also hosted many World Cup matches.
