Lumen Field is a multi-purpose stadium with views of the Downtown Seattle skyline and modern facilities, located in Seattle, Washington, United States. It is the home ground of two teams- Seattle Sounders F.C. of Major League Soccer (MLS) and Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). The stadium complex includes the Event Center with the WaMu Theater, a public plaza and a parking garage. The stadium is easily accessible by multiple freeways and forms of mass transportation. Originally named Seahawks Stadium, it was renamed Qwest Field in June 2004 when telecommunications company Qwest acquired the rights to the name. It became known as CenturyLink Field in June 2011 following the acquisition of Qwest by CenturyLink and then received its current name in November 2020 following the rebranding of CenturyLink to Lumen Technologies. The stadium has a 68,740 seating capacity for NFL games and 37,722 seating capacity for most MLS matches.
