The Coliseo de la Ciudad Deportiva is a sports complex, located at the intersection of Via Blanca and Boyeros Avenues in Havana, Cuba. Around 4 million pesos were spent on the construction of this sports complex. It was opened to the spectators in the year 1957. The Coliseo de la Ciudad Deportiva is considered to be one of the most significant and striking works of Cuban engineering. The sports complex underwent renovation and extension in the year 1959. The front garden of the Coliseo de la Ciudad Deportiva has a bronze statue of a naked woman running. It is titled "The Goal" and is the work of sculptor Fernando Boada Martin. It was made in between 1936-1937. The arena also has an outdoor gym, baseball grounds, and basketball court. In 2009, a Creole Ball arena, futsal arena and volleyball area were also installed.
