Belgrade Arena, formerly known as Štark Arena & Kombank Arena, located in New Belgrade, Belgrade, Serbia, is a multipurpose indoor venue designed to accommodate sporting competitions, concerts, cultural performances and other large-scale events. The project was initiated in 1991, but construction experienced significant delays amid the economic and political challenges affecting the country during the 1990s. After work was suspended in 1995, construction resumed in 1998 following Belgrade's selection as the host city for the 1999 World Table Tennis Championships. The arena was eventually completed in 2004 and officially opened in July of that year. Its construction cost is commonly estimated at approximately €70 million. The facility is owned by the City of Belgrade and managed by Arena Beograd d.o.o., the company responsible for organising sporting, cultural and entertainment events at the venue.
