Located 3 miles away from the City Centre in Glasgow, Barclays Hampden is better known as the Hampden Park and Scottish National Stadium where all the home games of Scotland are hosted along with being the annual venue of the Scottish Cup Finals. In December 2025, Hampden Park entered its first naming-rights agreement when the Scottish Football Association announced a multi-million-pound, long-term partnership with Barclays. The stadium was subsequently renamed Barclays Hampden.
The Park was built at the beginning of the 1900s and was inaugurated on 31st October 1903 with a football match played between Celtic and Queens Park. At that time, the stadium was designed in the shape of a bowl. It was considered the biggest stadium in the world when it was opened with a capacity of around 100,000 spectators. The stadium has been served by King’s Park and Mount Florida railway stations. The stadium has hosted some of the prestigious sporting events, including European Cup/Champions League finals, Cup Winners' Cup finals and UEFA Cup final.
