Almaty Central Stadium is a multipurpose sports venue, situated in Almaty, Kazakhstan which was constructed in 1958. It predominantly hosts national league football matches and is the stamping ground for the FC Kairat, Kazakhstan national football team, Kazakhstan national rugby union team and is has been selected to host 2017 Winter Universiade. Structurally, the stadium is oval, divided into four inserts passages podium. Every individual seat is mounted on metal parts. The stadium went through its first renovation in 1997, then in 2004 and latest in 2011.The main entrances to the stadium are A. Baitursynov, Abay, and Satpayev. The playing field has natural grass which is smooth, even and in good condition.
