Zeltweg Airfield is situated in Styria near Zeltweg, considered to be the biggest airfield of the huge Austrian Air Force. The idea of building the air base is inspired by the Silverstone Circuit in the United Kingdom and is built irrespective of the abrasive nature of the surface of the region. It is located at an altitude of 2,238 ft./682m above the sea level.Â

- The World Sportscar Championship was held here in between 1966-1968.
