Nicknamed as the Big Crown Stadium, the Ulsan Munsu Soccer Stadium is located in Ulsan, South Korea. The design of the stadium draws its imagery from the Ulsan’s symbols such as the Silla Crown, the dolphin & the crane etc. Built with the purpose to host the 2002 FIFA World Cup matches, it was constructed at the cost of US$116.5 million. It is the replacement of Ulsan Complex Stadium and adjacent to Munsu Park, enveloping bicycle course, fountain, lake, and lakeside square. It also has an auxiliary stadium with a seating capacity of 2,590. Since it became operative on 28th April 2001, it has hosted several international football matches and FIFA World Cup matches. This huge stadium with the seating capacity of around 44,102 is home to the Ulsan Hyundai FC.
