Parc Des Princes Stadium, located in the southwest of the French capital, Paris is an all-seater football stadium. It was opened to the spectators on 4th June 1972 by French President Georges Pompidou. A French architect Robert Taillibert built the Parc Des Princes stadium. The stadium has progressed with times and has been quite adaptable to the changing standards over the last forty years. It underwent renovation for some minor problems in the year 2013. It can hold around 48,583 spectators. Since 1974, the owner of this stadium is Paris-Saint-Germain. Visitors consider the Parc Des Princes stadium as one of the most beautiful stadia in Paris and is still praised for its unique acoustics and its distinctive concrete ribs structure.

The Parc Des Princes stadium was built on a hunting ground for the members of the French family in the 18th century.

Significance

This stadium has hosted four European club football finals: European Cup Final of 1975 and 1981, 1978 European Cup Winners' Cup Final, 1995 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup Final and the 1998 UEFA Cup Final.
In 1989, the stadium recorded its highest attendance, in the match of "Five Nations Championship" which was played between French National Rugby team and the Wales National rugby team.
It has also hosted significant matches of the 1998 FIFA World Cup.
The Parc Des Princes stadium hosted the 2016 UEFA European Championships finals.
