The Pacific Coliseum was used for the Madison Square Garden scene in the movie "Miracle" and in the film "Slam Dunk Ernest".
The Pacific Coliseum, commonly known as 'the Coliseum' or 'the Rink on Renfrew', is an indoor arena, located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It primarily hosts ice hockey events. The arena has served as home to Vancouver Giants of the Western Hockey League (WHL) from 2001–2016. It took a span of two years to build the magnificent sports arena from 1966 to 1968, the structure being designed by W. K. Noppe. The building portrays a simple geometric shape, along with distinctive rings of white panels, and can be classified as a formalist architecture. The arena underwent a major renovation in 2007 to upgrade accessibility, seating, and ice surface to host the 2010 Winter Olympics. The city owns the stadium and managed by the Pacific National Exhibition on the site of which the arena has been built.
