Situated in downtown Wichita, Kansas, United States, the Intrust Bank Arena is a multi-purpose arena, the second largest indoor arena of Kansas with the facilities of 22 suites, 2 party suites, and over 300 premium seats. The construction work started on 4th December 2007 under the influence of prominent architecture firms such as Populous, WDM Architects, Gossen Livingston Architects and McCluggage Van Sickle & Perry. An estimated amount of $205,500,000 was spent on the construction of this arena and it finally opened on 2nd January 2010. The arena is owned by the Sedgwick County and operated by the SMG (Southern Management Group). The Intrust Bank Arena has been the home for Wichita Thunder of East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) since 2010 and the Wichita Force of professional indoor American football league CIF since 2015. It has been selected to host the first and second round games of 2018 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament.

Trivia

In the yearly "Best of the Best" poll of Central Hockey League, the Intrust Bank Arena was voted as the "Best Arena" with " Best Locker Rooms" on 9th March 2010.

Significance

The arena played host to the PBR Built Ford Tough Series "Wichita Invitational" (Bull Riding) from 7th to 8th May 2010.
The arena is more famous for hosting musical concerts and live performances of top notch celebrities all around the world. Singers and artists such as Elton John, Billy Joel, Brad Paisley, Bon Jovi, and Michael Bublé have performed here.
The Intrust Bank Arena hosted the first and second rounds of the 2011 NCAA Women's Division I Basketball Tournament that were held on 20th and 22nd March 2011.
WWE live SmackDown taping was held at the stadium on 30th August 2011.
The VFC Fight Night: Wichita 1 match between Marcio Navarro vs. Jake Lindsey was held at the arena on 27th April 2013.
