Situated in downtown Wichita, Kansas, United States, the Intrust Bank Arena is a multi-purpose arena, the second largest indoor arena of Kansas with the facilities of 22 suites, 2 party suites, and over 300 premium seats. The construction work started on 4th December 2007 under the influence of prominent architecture firms such as Populous, WDM Architects, Gossen Livingston Architects and McCluggage Van Sickle & Perry. An estimated amount of $205,500,000 was spent on the construction of this arena and it finally opened on 2nd January 2010. The arena is owned by the Sedgwick County and operated by the SMG (Southern Management Group). The Intrust Bank Arena has been the home for Wichita Thunder of East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) since 2010 and the Wichita Force of professional indoor American football league CIF since 2015. It has been selected to host the first and second round games of 2018 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament.
