Estádio Paulo Constantino is located in the Presidente Prudente city of Brazil and is also known as “Prudentao”. It is the second largest stadium in the country, inaugurated on 12th October in 1982. Many teams such as Santos, Flamengo, Fluminense, Palmeiras, Corinthians and Sao Paulo team have played here, making it even more popular. The Fluminense Football Club won their 4th title in the stadium in December 2012. This match is considered as one of the most important matches in the history of the Estádio Paulo Constantino stadium.
Significance
- On 8th March 2009, 44,479 fans attended the classic match between Palmeiras vs. Corinthians where famous football player Ronaldo scored the first goal wearing the Corinthians team’s shirt. An income of $1,349,390 was made through the match.
- In 2013, the stadium was given its first name Paulo Constantino.
- The first ever goal at the ground of the stadium was kicked by Paulinho Batistote (from the club Santos) in the inaugural match.
