EKA Arena, formerly known as 'The Arena', is a multi-purpose stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Located in the beautiful premises of Kankaria Lake, this venue has plenty of panoramic scenes for the spectators, especially those who love nature. The EKA Arena is considered to be Asia's biggest and India's first convertible stadium (that can convert the stadium according to the sporting event within 6 minutes by using StadiArena technology). It's a well-equipped arena with luxurious facilities and a capability of hosting dozen of sports. TransStadia and the Government of Gujarat govern the stadium. It officially opened its gate in October 2016.

The Arena has hosted the 96th stage performance of Mughal-e-Azam play, an epic Indian drama from 8 to 11 March 2018 that recorded a huge turnover.
Significance
Apart from its standard playing field, it also includes sports academy, banquet, sports club, dining area, retail space, sports science and rehab facility.
The Arena has hosted the Kabaddi World Cup before its inauguration in 2016.
The stadium has a FIFA standard pitch built at an elevation of 4.8 meters, along with the facility of media coverage for live broadcasting.
The Arena hosted the ITTF- ATTU 30th Asian Cup Finals in 2017.
The stadium has been chosen to host the Intercontinental Cup 2019 competition between India, Tajikistan, Syria, and North Korea.
Apart from sports, the arena also hosts major awards nights and concerts, living the mesmerizing performances of music giants such as A.R. Rahman.
On 6th January 2018; the arena hosted the biggest award night of Gujarati Cinema, Gujarat Iconic Film Awards (GIFA).
