The Chicagoland Speedway is a tri-oval speedway with a length of 2.4 kilometres, located in Joliet, Illinois, the southwest of Chicago, adjacent to Route 66 Raceway. It is owned and operated by the International Speedway Corporation. The speedway was opened in July 2001 and has hosted the Indycar Series till 2011. It also hosts the NASCAR Cup Series including the opening event Chase for the Championship. The Speedway has hosted many important events such as the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series, and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.
