Brands Hatch, located near Swanley, Kent is a motor racing circuit that was formerly used as a dirt track motorcycle circuit on farmland. The circuit currently hosts major British and multiple international racing events. The Brands Hatch has two layout configurations: a shorter track for Indy Circuit races and a longer track for Grand Prix races. The GP Circuit has 9 turns whereas the Indy circuit has 6 turns. The circuit has FIA Grade 2 license.

Brands Hatch was designated as one of the best circuits in the world by former Austrian Formula One racing driver Gerhard Berger.

Significance

Circuit also hosts Single Stage Rally event that uses inner circuit sections, tarmac, pits and other roads of the circuit.
The circuit has hosted 12 Formula One British Grand Prix in between 1964-1986.
This track has also hosted Europe Grand Prix in 1983 and 1985.
Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters event has been held here several times.
Brands Hatch has also hosted the British Touring Championship.
Superbike Championship has been held at the Brands Hatch between 1993 and 2008.
This circuit has hosted both Sprint Race and Main Race events of the A1 Grand Prix of Nations, Great Britain in the years 2005, 2007, 2008, and 2009.
The Brands Hatch has also hosted European Formula 5000, International Formula Two, International Formula 3000, British Formula 3000, British Formula Two, European Formula Three, British Formula Three, and World Sportscar Championships.
World Touring Car Championship has been hosted at this circuit between 2006 and 2010.
Indycars championships have been hosted in the year 1978 and 2003.
The Brands Hatch circuit has hosted British Rallycross Grand Prix between 1982 and 1994.
2012 Summer Paralympics’ Road cycling events were held at the Brands Hatch in September.
