Governing Body: | International Woodball Federation (IWbF) |
Woodball is a recreational sport similar to polo and croquet in styles and techniques. The sport is played with a mallet and ball, where both the equipment are made of wood.Â
Â
The sport isn't limited to any specific surface and hence, can be easily played indoors or outdoors, even on asphalt surfaces, grass or sand.Â
Â
The International Woodball Federation is the international governing body of Woodball. Since 2008, woodball has been included as a part of the Asian Beach Games.Â
The objective is to strike wooden balls through the centre of the wooden gates. Woodball can be played in singles, doubles or as a team of almost 4-8 players including the Captain.
The players strike the ball from a starting lane through the gates. The participant who completes the match with the least number of strokes is declared as the winner.
