The skis used in freestyle skiing have a maximum length of 1.9m for men and 1.8m for women. The bindings attached to skis secure the boots onto the skis. The skis have a curved profile to make it more flexible. Twin-tip skis that have curved up tip and tail are used in halfpipe and slopestyle events, and mogul skis are used in mogul and aerial events.
