The Curtis Cup is a women’s international golf tournament, held in every two years. The Curtis Cup was first played in the year 1932. It was held at the Wentworth Club, Wentworth, England and was won by the American team. The competition is organised by the United States Golf Association and the R&A and has two teams: one team that represents the United States and the other representing Great Britain and Ireland. The competition consists of different kinds of match plays. According to the rules, if the match is tied, the previous winner of the Cup retains it. The winner of each category wins a point for their team.
