There is another version of the competition known as the Indoor Archery World Cup, introduced in the year 2010.
The Archery World Cup is an international level outdoor archery competition, held throughout the world. It was first started in 2006. The competition has two major divisions: - Recurve and Compound. Participants perform in following categories-
The Archery World Cup is a modern competitive archery tournament of the international stature, governed by the WorldArcheryFederation.
Participants perform under two divisions- Seniors and Juniors. The one aged below 18, compete in Juniors.
The competition can be held both indoors and outdoors.
There is a specificdistance for indoor events while for outside, it may vary. There are two sets of rules according to the rounds- MetricRounds (WA, World Archery rules) and the ImperialRounds (GNAS, Grand National Archery Society rules).
Archers score each end and their scores are calculated by summing their arrow’s score. An arrow that has just touched a scoring boundary line called the "Line Breaker" or "Line Cutter" is given higher points.
The archers compete in four different stages that are held in fourdifferent countries. Best eight archers from each category advance to the finals.
