World Baseball Softball Confederation is the governing body of the world for the sports of baseball and softball. It was established in 2013 when the former world governing bodies for baseball and softball, the International Softball Federation (ISF)and the International Baseball Federation (IBAF), merged. They both now serve as the separate sports divisions of the WBSC for administring baseball and softball competitions worldwide respectively.
The WBSC constitutes of 208 national members coming from 141 countries. And since it is the official body of baseball and softball, it's solely the WBSC's responsibility to conduct all international competitions and hold their rights. Same goes for its control over baseball in Olympic games.
