The World Association of Kickboxing Organisations is the world governing body for the sport of kickboxing. It was formerly referred to as the World All Style Karate Organization but was later changed to its present name, which is often abbreviated as WAKO. It's the only world governing body of this sport which is certified by both IOC (International Olympic Committee) and the GAISF (Global Association of Sports Federations).
The WAKO is solely responsible for sanctioning world champions of the sport of kickboxing and formulating the rules and regulations of this sport.
