The International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports Federation (IWAS) is a sports organisation that governs all the sports for athletes with physical disabilities.
IWAS is a registered foundation with its headquarters located at Aylesbury College in, Buckinghamshire. It's also the world governing body for the Paralympic sport of wheelchair fencing. IWAS gives aid to evolving sports and nations to nurture the sporting possibilities available across the globe.
IWAS was established in 2005 after the merging of the International Stoke Mandeville Wheelchair Sports Federation (ISMWSF) with the International Sports Federation of the Disabled (ISOD).
