International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMA) is a non-profit organisation established on 29th February 2014 by the previous President of the Swedish MMA Federation August Wallén; as the international governing for the administration of amateur Mixed Martial Art (MMA). It serves as the democratic hub to govern all the affiliated national MMA federations, encouraging and supporting the development of the sport worldwide. The organisation primarily administers the laws and standard of MMA pan America, Asia, Europe, Oceania and Africa. The prime aim of IMMAF is the development and recognition of the sport. The first IMMAf Championships of Amateur MMA was held in between 29th June and 5th July 2014.
