The International Association of Skateboard Companies (IASC) is a for-profit trade association that seeks to promote skateboarding as a leisure activity. IASC was established in the year 1995, by Jim Fitzpatrick, to promote skateboarding, increased participation and saving its member’s money and educating the community about skateboarding. The board of directors includes various representatives of several skateboarding companies; who, in turn, represent a huge membership of skateboard manufacturers, distributors, contest organizers, ramp designers and individuals.
IASC organizes an annual Go Skateboarding Day on June 21, to encourage skateboarders around the world for skateboarding. It hosts various competitions of skateboarding for both men and women.
