World Athletics Award to recognize Best Photographs of 2020

World Athletics will host an award for the best athletics photograph of the year on Saturday 5 December at this year's virtual World Athletics Awards 2020.

Any professional photographer who has attended an athletics event in 2020 is eligible to participate. Photographers are requested to send a photo via email to waphotoaward@worldathletics.org and also include a caption, the technical information of the image and the date the photo was taken.

Entries must not exceed 5MB and must be received before noon according to Monaco time on Friday, November 6.

A panel of experts will judge the photographs and select top 25 entries, which will be a part of the digital exhibition that will go live on November 26.

From the shortlisted ones, the panel will select three top photographs. The finalists will be announced on November 26, and the winner will be announced live on 5 December during the virtual World Athletics Awards 2020.
