It’s a matter of pride that nine players from the Reliance Foundation Young Champs (RFYC) academy in Navi Mumbai are all set to sign contracts with the leading ISL clubs. Players like Aritra Das, Muhammed Basith PT and Birendra Singh are headed to Kerala Blasters FC. In contrast, G Balaji and Aqib Nawab will be joining the Chennaiyin FC; Muhammed Nemil will join FC Goa, Thoi Singh will join Bengaluru FC, Ayush Chhikara will join Mumbai City FC and Koustav Dutta will join the Hyderabad FC. These young footballers have spent five years at the RFYC as part of the first batch to get admitted since its foundation in 2015.

The talented players have also received full scholarships in the academy and an equal focus in sports and academics. They also attend the nearby Reliance Foundation School to receive a high-quality education. The schooling aids in providing a proper holistic environment where they can work on their skills and have support from the Sports Science and Sports Psychology departments. Earlier this year, RFYC also received its Two-Star Academy status from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
