Spain's National Football player Rodrigo Moreno, who is also a forward player in Leeds United, has been tested positive for COVID-19 after coming in contact with an infected family member. Rodrigo was not a part of the Leeds team's 4-1 defeat to Leicester City in the Premier League on Monday because he was isolated after close contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case.
Rodrigo Moreno himself confirmed that he has been infected with the coronavirus and will miss a trip to Crystal Palace for Leeds on Saturday.
"Unfortunately, I have tested positive for COVID-19 after being in contact with a family member that had been infected without us knowing. As per the protocol, I will be self-isolating and will miss the game with Crystal Palace. Both my family and I feel great, we are lucky enough to feel healthy, and we are keeping a positive attitude. From home I will support Leeds and the Spanish National Team as a supporter, and I will be back on the pitch soon. Thank you for all those who have shown concern," Moreno informed in an Instagram post.
