Indian tennis player Ramkumar Ramanathan advanced to the second round of the grass-court tournament, Nottingham Trophy, on Tuesday with a victory of 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (1) over 229th ranked Leonardo Mayer of Argentina.
Ramanathan, who is ranked 211th in the ATP Tour, will face Kamil Majchrzak of Poland in the ATP Challenger tournament.
Earlier, Indian player Prajnesh Gunneswaran had withdrawn due to injury, while Sumit Nagal lost in the first round of qualifiers.
