The urge of winning was very high as Argentina previously lost to the same opponent with 2-0 score, four years back. With all the pressure of winning, the breakthrough arrives after Pervis Estupiñán tackled Lucas Ocampos in the box, which legendarily ended with Messi’s 71st international goal. Messi went for the score from the penalty after going to the goalkeeper’s left and then there was the much-awaited perfect goal!
During the match, Ocampos had his golden chance to double the lead, but with the efforts of goalkeeper Alexander Domínguez and his fruitful tactic to keep out his low shot from eight yards with which he successfully prevented the goal. Even Rodrigo De Paul’s last kick of the match resulted in a narrow-wide for the hosts. Altogether Lucas Ocampos, Rodrigo de Paul and Gonzalo Montiel were the furious attackers on the right-wing.
