BCCI president Sourav Ganguly confirmed on Tuesday that Ahmedabad will host the upcoming day-night pink-ball Test during England’s big-ticket tour of India at the beginning of next year. Ganguly shared the news while attending a book launch of CPI(M) MLA Ashok Bhattacharya at the Kolkata Press Club. The England team will visit India from January-March for five Test matches along with a limited-overs series. Ganguly shared that the specific venues aren’t decided, but the test will be played in Ahmedabad.
The Apex council of BCCI recently had a virtual meeting and discussed all the parameters and the three major areas to focus on Saturday including their upcoming tour of Australia, England’s visit to India and beginning of Indian domestic matches. They are planning to create a bio-secure bubble across the playing venues after receiving permission from the Indian Government.
