American golfer Patrick Cantlay held off the first runner-up Jon Rahm (Spain) and second runner-up Justin Thomas (USA) on 25th October to win the Zozo Championship at Sherwood Country Club. It’s his third career US PGA title. The 28-year-old American golfer shot his career-best nine birdies in a final-round seven-under-par 65 to complete on 23-under 265 after 72 holes. The second and third-rank holders Rahm and Thomas finished on 266 jointly.
After gaining the victory, Cantlay said "It means a lot. I'm really happy to have won this week. I was hitting a lot of good shots. I really felt comfortable with my swing."
