I am Differently Abled by birth 4’ 2” my height. Despite being at a serious disadvantage due to very short height, I bravely went ahead and faced many challenged in the sports, cultural and other social activities and came up as a winner in many situations repeatedly.
Self Achievement in Sports
I have excelled in more than one Sport like Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Hockey, Soccer and Volleyball.
I had participated in the IV Dwarf Olympic Games – 2005 and won 6 medals and India was placed 5th in the Medal Standings.
I was the first person from India to get the Highest Medal tally and my name was entered in the Limca Book of Records.
I come from a mid class family where I am the youngest in the family and disabled by birth, I started my sports carrier from school days, I used to play chess & used to represent inter school tournaments my aim was to compete in the sports whether get the medals or not.
I lead the India at the V Dwarf Olympic Games – 2009 and India won 17 medals, my individual medals was 4 (1 Gold & 3 Bronze medals).
Promotion of Sports at State, National & International levels
The Government of India saw my contributions to the sports for the Differently Abled, I was sent as Team Escort for many International level sports meet to help the Wheelchair bound players.
I played a key role in getting the International affiliation to India from the & International Dwarf Sports Federation (IDSF), UK.
