Rajpal Singh

Born on 8^th August 1983, Rajpal Singh is a former captain of the Indian Men’s Hockey team and plays as a forward. He became famous after performing brilliantly in 2001 Youth Asia Cup. India won the Cup at Ipoh with a seven goals and he was honored as the "Player of the Tournament".

His Achievements:-

• Instrumental in India’s gold medal win at the 2007 Men’s Hockey Asia Cup, held in Chennai.
• Helped India win bronze medals at the 2007 and 2009 Men’s Hockey Champions Challenge, held in Belgium and Salta, respectively.
• Earned a silver medal along with the team for India at the 2010 Commonwealth Games held in Delhi.
• Secured a gold medal at the 2010 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup event held in Malaysia.
• Won a bronze medal along with the team at the 2010 Asian Games held in Guangzhou.
• Captained the national hockey team that went on to defeat Pakistan and won the inaugural Asian Men's Hockey Champions Trophy in 2011.
• Received the prestigious Arjuna Award in 2011 by the Government of India.
