Avneet Sidhu

Born on 11th December 1981, Avneet Kaur Sidhu is an Indian Shooter and the first woman shooter from Punjab to earn medals at the Commonwealth as well as Asian Games.

Her Achievements:-

• Bagged a gold medal in a pair event and a silver medal in individual category at the 2006 Commonwealth Games, held in Melbourne.
• Brought home a bronze medal from the 2006 Asian Games, held in Doha.
• Bagged a bronze medal at the 2007 Asian Shooting Championship, held in Kuwait.
• Clinched two silver medals at the 2007 National Games, held in Guwahati.
• Earned a gold medal at the 2007 National Shooting Championship, held in Ahmedabad.
• Conferred with the “Arjuna Award" in the year 2008.
• She clinched a gold medal in the 2008 Australia Cup held in Sydney.
• In 2010, she won gold medal in team category and silver medal individually in the Intershoot, Netherlands.
• Won a gold medal in team category at the 2011 National Championship.
• In 2017 World Police Games, Avneet won a gold and a silver each, with two bronze medals.
