Suranjoy Singh

Born on 2nd April 1986, Suranjoy Mayengbam Singh is an Indian amateur boxer best known for his aggressive style. He has participated in various national as well as international boxing events crediting numerous accolades to his name.

His Achievements:-

• Bronze medal at the World Junior Championships of 2004, held in Jeju, South Korea
• Gold medal at the 2009 Asian Boxing Championships, held in Zhuhai, China
• In 2009, he became the first Indian boxer who won a gold medal at the Inter-Continental President's Cup in the 51 kg flyweight category
• Became the first Indian boxer to be declared the 'best boxer' in any Senior Level Boxing Championships
• Gold medal in flyweight category at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, held in Delhi
• Bronze medal in flyweight category at the 2010 Asian Games, held in Guangzhou
