Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore

Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, born on January 29, 1970, is an important person in India. He used to be in the army and was really good at shooting. In 2004, he won a special silver medal at the Olympics for shooting. It was a big deal because he was the first Indian to win a silver medal on his own. After leaving the army, Rathore became a politician. He worked in the government and was in charge of information and broadcasting. Rathore's journey from being a great shooter to helping run the country shows his dedication to making India better.

• The first Indian shooter to win a silver medal in an individual event in Men’s Double Trap Shooting at the Olympic Games since 1900
• Recipient of "Arjuna Award" in 2003
• Recipient of "Khel Ratna Award" in 2004
• Silver Medal in Men’s Double Trap Shooting at the Athens Olympic Games in 2004
• Gold Medal in Double trap individual event at the Commonwealth Games of 2002 and 2006.
• Recipient of "Padma Shri" Award in 2005.
• Five Gold Medals each in Double trap individual event at the Asian Clay Target Championships of 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 & 2011.
