Born on 6th December 1991, in Balıkesir, Yasemin Adar is a prominent Turkish freestyle wrestler who competes in 75 kg. In her high school days, she used to perform shot put but later switched to wrestling. At present, she teaches in Niğde.
Her major achievements:
- In 2020 European Championships, she clinched a silver medal in the 76 kg category
- Bagged a gold medal in the 76 kg category at the 2019 European Wrestling Championships, held in Bucharest
- Clinched a gold medal in 76 kg category at the 2018 European Wrestling Championships, held in Kaspiysk
- Won a silver medal in 76 kg category at the 2018 World Wrestling Championships, held in Budapest
- Gold medal at the World Wrestling Championship, held in Paris in 2017
- Bagged two gold medals in 75 kg category at the FILA Wrestling European Championships that held in 2016 in Riga and 2017 in Novi Sad.
- Won the freestyle wrestling event of the Mediterranean Games in 72 kg that held in 2013 in Mersin.
